The selection process has finished up for the 2010 California Fire Exploring Scholarship. Over the last seven months, we put in an extensive amount of effort, time and personal funds in this effort to ensure a solid program supporting California

Just a quick note- The owners of Fire Recruit.com and Nor-Cal Training really stepped up last minute and added in some Secondary prizes for all of the winners. Thanks!

Just a few of updates from the California Fire Exploring Scholarship-

First- A secondary award presentation picture just came in of 2010 Scholarship Winner Explorer Adam Delaney of the Vista FD-


Engineer Eddie Jimenez - Post Advisor, Engineer Richard Tilch - Post Advisor, Adam Delaney - Explorer, Deputy Chief Don Shellhammer

The Secondary Awards consisted of- 6 month membership to Fire Recruit.com and a training class of their choice from Nor-Cal Training.

Second- The CFES just became a IRS 501c3 charity. This is big time for us as we will pursue larger avenues for support. The CFES is still a 100% all volunteer, non profit charity.

Third- We expect a follow up article in the upcoming issue of The California Fire Service/CSFA magazine. Please look for it.

Update- Just got a phone call from the Capitol. Letters from Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's office will be sent out some time this week to the 2010 winners.
