Another one of my favorite station recipes. This recipe is a little time consuming, but will be worth the effort. Plan on 45 min to an hour for prep and 30 minutes to the table. Oh and...they're not so tiny!
![]() Ingredients List (3 - 4 People)
Necessary Tools
Cooking Instructions Preheat Oven to 375F. Pre-cook any filler if necessary. Defrost two loaves of bread. Try the microwave instructions on the back for quick defrost. When defrosted place on large flat surface and cut in half (You will be using one half per person). Sprinkle dough half with flour and using the rolling pin, roll dough into approx. 14" by 14" square. NOTE: You will be placing sauce and filling on only one half of the square. HTML Code:
<pre> -------------- | O | | O O | | O O O | | O O O O | | O O O O O | |O O O O O O | -------------- </pre> Repeat for remaining Calzones. When Finished place 2 Calzones on each Cookie sheet and place in oven for approx. 20-25 minutes or until golden brown

I can't believe I missed this post last year. I dig the use of the extra loaf to make a dessert calzone. I could probably find a way to do some kind of sweet glaze on the outside of the calzone prior to adding the ice cream. Ok...gotta find Bridgeford Frozen Bread...

The chocolate chip calzone was my take on the Claim Jumper version (also delicious). It's a great end to the dinner.....if you still have room after the first course. Using half of the bread loaf for each person for dinner will hang off both sides of a standard fire house round plate. We have 3 on an engine so I usually do 2/3's of a loaf. It almost becomes a competition to see who can finish.
![]() The Bridgeford bread loaf dough comes in a yellow package with red writing. I've found them at just about every chain grocery store in So Cal. Most of the time it's by the frozen pie crusts or frozen garlic breads.
